Harvest Celebrations

We are extremely proud of all the children during the Harvest Festival. They worked very hard to learn both BSL and the lyrics to Sing. If you missed it at the church, enjoy the video below.

Abbey School Trip 9th November

We had our school trip to The Abbey School and it was a lot of fun. First, The Football Academy students taught us new football drills, including passing correctly and a penalty shoot out. We then worked in teams and played matches against each other.

After that, we worked in groups to solve French problems. We learnt lots of new vocabulary, all about subjects, animals and sports. The sixth formers were watching for excellent team work and awarded prizes for children that worked well collaboratively.

Book Week 20th – 25th November

We have had a brilliant book week! We wrote our own poems for the Premier League Primary Stars with a focus on resilience. We had an amazing visit from Adisa, a performance poet who shared how to be confident in yourself and was a true inspiration. We held our own performance poetry competition in the classroom, well done to Bailey, Samuel, Stanley, Krish and Freddie who won the class vote and performed in front of the rest of the class.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the costumes. Have a look at our fun photo below to see everyone!

EU Day 29th November

We have had our EU day this week (after a bit of a shaky start!). The children have really enjoyed learning about different countries in the EU and solving current problems such as housing and climate change.
