Mersham Primary School has a rich sporting tradition.

We are delighted to announce that Mersham’s dedication and commitment to sport and P.E. this year has been recognised by the awarding of the Sainsbury’s School Games Gold Kitemark. This award is extremely difficult to obtain, involving a huge number of areas, including, amongst others: participation in competition, attendance at extra-curricular clubs, links with local sports clubs and the development of leadership skills with pupils.

At Mersham our aim is for children to: experience high quality learning in P.E., understand the contribution that regular physical activity contributes to their health and well-being and participate competitively in sports within school and out in the wider community.

Many, many congratulations to all the staff and parents who have put time, effort and enthusiasm into this, organising and supporting a huge range of opportunities and activities for the pupils at Mersham. And well done to the pupils for taking up all of the opportunities provided.

Well done everyone – let’s keep it up!
