School Hours

SCHOOL HOURS – these are our usual school hours.

Weekly: 32.5 hours

Classes R 
9.00am – 3.05pm (gates open at 8.45am)

Classes 1 and 2
9.00am – 3.10pm (gates open at 8.45am)

Classes 3, 4, 5 and 6
9.00am – 3.15pm (gates open at 8.45am)

School begins at 9.00am and the children are able to go into their classrooms from 8:45am each day. They enter by the small gate next to the office. 

The school day, for Classes R ends at 3:05pm and for Classes 1 and 2 at 3.10pm. The children are collected from the playground. 

The school day for Classes 3, 4, 5 and 6 ends at 3.15pm, and they are collected from the playground.

The gates are opened at 3:00pm each afternoon. For safeguarding reasons, please let us know if your child is to go home with a different adult.

ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES DURING THE SCHOOL DAY

Please ensure that if your child arrives after registration or is taken out during the school day that he/she is signed in or out of school. This information is required to safeguard the children generally and particularly in the event of a fire or an emergency. The files are located in the school office.

  • one is for late arrivals, if your child arrives at school after registration or during the school day.
  • one is for departures during the day, if for any reason your child needs to leave school prior to the end of the day.

MEDICAL & DENTAL APPOINTMENTS

Although we appreciate, that this is sometimes unavoidable, please, where possible, try to make appointments outside of school hours and during holidays, especially for routine check-ups.

PARKING

Parents are able to park in Church Road or the Mountbatten Hall car park at the beginning and end of the school day.

Any parents who feel that they may be entitled to transport for their child to get to school should make enquiries to the Area Education Office.
