A CARE FOUNDATION TRUST SCHOOL

Headteacher Message

A very warm welcome to Mersham Primary School. Situated in a quiet, rural village close to Ashford, we enjoy beautiful views over the Kent countryside from our extensive school grounds and exceptional outdoor learning space. Becoming part of our school community is one of the most rewarding and important decisions you are likely to make. We aim to create an environment where the children are happy and excited about coming to school; where they will succeed; where the curriculum is broad, balanced and enriching and where standards are high. A real love of learning will be nurtured, building on the strengths of every child, whilst developing their knowledge and skills in each subject to prepare them for an ever changing world. Your child will be actively encouraged to take part in their learning and apply their knowledge and skills in a range of contexts to develop a life-long love of learning and to take responsibility for it.
We pride ourselves on our collaborative links with parents and the wider local community. We work closely with parents and carers to foster high expectations, independence and respect
I hope you will enjoy your visit to our website and please do get in touch if you would like any further information about our school. We are always happy to arrange guided tours at any point during the academic year. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!  Cheryl Chalkley, Headteacher Contacting us: phone the school office on 01233 720449; email secretary@mersham.kent.sch.uk or alternatively you can goto our contacts page and fill in the form there.
